QUEEN OF HEARTS RAFFLE GAME RULES

The Queen of Hearts is a weekly progressive raffle. Post members can participate by buying a ticket at any Post activity. You can buy as many tickets as you like.

ELIGIBILITY:

Any Post 209 member (Legionnaire, Auxiliary, SAL, Riders) with a valid Post 209 membership card is eligible to play.

TICKET SALES:

Tickets can be purchased for $1.00 each. Tickets may be purchased from a Games Manager at any time. A valid Membership card must be shown and verified at the time of purchase.

DRAWING DATE / TIME:

Drawings will be held on Friday evenings Drawings will run for 54 weeks or until the QUEEN OF HEARTS is drawn. Tickets will be sold until 6:45 PM on each Friday that we have a Post activity. Drawing will be held at 7:00 PM each Friday that we have a Post activity. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.

DRAWING PROCEDURE:

  1. One ticket will be drawn every Friday, unless a MUST-GO situation develops. [see STATE RULES at the bottom of this page]
  2. The winning ticket holder will pick one card from the board and open the envelope to display the card.
  3. The amount of money you win will be determined by the card you choose:

STATE RULES:

  • YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN. Per Colorado Bingo-Raffle Law book section 8.4.2(d). If the winning ticket purchaser is not present at the drawing, tickets will be drawn until selecting a ticket purchaser who is present.
  • The progressive pot will continue to build until the Queen of Hearts is drawn. This could take up to 54 weeks. Once a ticket is drawn and a weekly winner is determined, the raffle tickets will be removed from the tumbler and a new ticket must be purchased for the following week’s drawing. The progressive raffle jackpot prize will not exceed $15,000. The jackpot will receive 50% of each week’s purchases to increase the prize pot.
  • If the jackpot prize reaches $15,000, a MUST-GO drawing will be held during that session. The must-go winner will be determined by drawing raffle tickets and the ticket holders selecting envelopes until a drawing winner selects the jackpot prize card: the Queen of Hearts.
  • All prizes in excess of $500 must be paid by check per Colorado Bingo-Raffle Law book section 9.3 Payment of Prizes. The Post will withhold taxes from winnings when applicable. Winners will be required to provide proper identification and information for tax purposes.
