How will AmeriPlan help American Legion Post 209?

• Many such organizations are and have begun teaming with companies that provide various types of services. In fact, the National Headquarters, American Legion, has been using this concept for years; however, the funds go straight to Headquarters.
• The PPSG (Pikes Peak Strategic Group) wants to use this same initiative on a local level, and what better organization to team up with than American Legion Post 209!
• A prime goal of the PPSG is to ensure all veterans are aware of our benefits and save money. Our approach is to provide any and all funding required to get the program financially solvent, then allow the Post Commander to brief his counterparts across the state and region on a program that both benefits the Post financially and immediately gives member supporters a tangible benefit for their entire household at rock bottom prices.
• Ten– repeat, 10– members makes the business solvent, but the more members that sign brings in more profits for the Post. In simple terms, each dental plan brings the Post $9.98 per month, while each Deluxe-Plus brings in $15.98, period.
• We challenge all members and readers to review the National Headquarters website and see the plethora of services teamed with the American Legion. However, not one of those organizations, I truly believe, will match our program for the benefits provided, at our cost, and still deliver a substantial profit to our Post at the same time.
• We also have the very best of local and national business credentials, such as: A+ Rating with the BBB, member of the local Chamber of Commerce, tenured member of the USAF AOG-True Blue Business Team. What is the AmeriPlan Dental Plus Plan?

• AmeriPlan is a Discount Medical Program Organization (DMPO), meaning our members get pre-negotiated discounts off regular fees from dental (discount dental plans), pharmaceutical, vision, and chiropractic providers within our network.

How does Ameriplan Work?

• Immediately upon completing their on-line application, or if we do it for them, the new member will receive a confirmation email package with the very basics of information. Most importantly, their package membership number.
• Armed with this number any new member can access all of their benefits with the exception of the hospital healthcare portion, which is attached to either the Med-Plus or Deluxe-Plus plan.
• The hospital benefit requires the member and his/her household members to wait three consecutive business days. As an example, a new member signing today, Thursday, December 15, 2016, would be able to use this benefit beginning on Wednesday, 12/28/2016.
• Payment is due at the time of service.

• If you want to use your benefits before you get your membership card (immediately), simply show the provider your membership number that you received upon enrollment.

Who are the AmeriPlan Medical Providers?

• AmeriPlan has a large network of medical, dental, pharmacy, vision, and chiropractic care providers, with more being added each day. In our network you can find tens of thousands of medical practitioners, over 85,000 dentists, 50,000 pharmacies, 12,000 vision care providers, and over 7,500 chiropractors. This gives us one of the largest networks of providers in the country.

How do I find an AmeriPlan Provider?

• To find one of our in-network providers, simply call our toll free customer service number at 800-647-8421. You can also find a provider list online at http://www.ameriplanusa.com/locate-a-provider.asp. Simply follow the on-screen instructions!

What if my favorite dentist is not a Provider?

• For great discounts and quality dental care, you may be able to find an alternate local dentist who is an AmeriPlan provider by going to this page – http://www.ameriplanusa.com/locate-a-provider.asp.
• If your current dentist is not an AmeriPlan provider but is interested in joining AmeriPlan as a provider, you can send them to this page – http://www.ameriplanusa.com/locate-a-provider.asp.

How much does it cost to join? How do I make payments?

• The Dental Plus membership costs just $24.95 per month for a whole household! A household membership includes all the permanent residents within the household.
• Payments can be made either monthly or quarterly by credit card or electronic bank draft. Invoicing will be done for annual memberships that are paid one year in advance.
• We can sign you up for the AmeriPlan Dental Plus program over the phone! Simply call us at 1-855-878-7774 and we’ll have you enrolled within minutes!

If I sign up for the Dental Plus membership, what is the discount I will get on dental fees?

• The discount varies depending on the type of dental work you receive, but our members can save 25% – 65% on all restorative and cosmetic work (such as fillings, crowns, and braces), and up to as much as 80% off of preventative work (such as cleanings and x-rays).
• If you need to see a specialist you can expect a discount of up to 25%.

Is there a waiting period?

• Unlike most insurance plans, there is no waiting period with AmeriPlan. You can start using the program right away and enjoy your instant savings with no caps or limits on visits. Remember – your entire household is covered!

What if I have a pre-existing condition. Can I still apply?

• Absolutely. Because AmeriPlan is not an insurance company, you won’t be excluded for any pre-existing or ongoing medical or dental problems.
• Please note that we cannot accept pre-contracted treatment plans for orthodontic treatment in progress at the time of your application.
• Does AmeriPlan reimburse dentists for their services?
• No. Within all our health programs the provider receives the full payment after discount from the member due at the time services are rendered.

Why would a medical provider decide to participate in the AmeriPlan Healthcare Program?

• While there are many advantages to joining the AmeriPlan network, one of the biggest reasons is that it is just easier for the medical provider. Dealing with insurance companies and trying to collect payment in a timely manner is a very time-consuming and tedious task for many medical providers.
• With AmeriPlan, the provider is assured of payment at the time of service. There is no paperwork to fill out, file, or follow-up on, which reduces overhead office administrative costs.
• When a provider joins the AmeriPlan network, he knows he is joining a network of like-minded professionals who don’t want to be answering to managed care of the insurance companies.
